Kenneth A. Brown, President

Kenneth A. BrownMr. Brown is co-founder and president of the Forensic Safety Group.  He has applied his knowledge and experience in biomechanical engineering to the field of occupant protection since the early 1990s. A cum laude graduate of Tufts University, Ken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. His graduate coursework was in biomedical engineering at Drexel University, and he interned in the Rehabilitation Engineering department at Moss Rehab in Philadelphia.

Ken has also made presentations to a wide variety of legal, technical and government agencies and trade associations on topics such as advanced crash forensics, paratransit and school bus accident investigation, occupant crash protection and biomechanics, the Seat Belt Defense, human tolerance to injury, vehicle crashworthiness, slip and fall risks in the elderly, rehab device evaluation and the health and safety needs of female first responders.

A member of numerous professional associations, Ken has served on national standards committees for occupant restraints, wheelchair testing and vehicle design. He has been recognized with a Merit Award by the Johns Hopkins National Search for Computing to Assist Persons with Disabilities and was named Kentucky Colonel by proclamation of the Governor of Kentucky for his outstanding training program for the state police.

has been qualified as an expert in Federal Court and state courts including those in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
